Calling all established and aspiring comic actors + crew! Join the adrenaline of the fourth installment of klpac’s sketch comedy revue – if you’re politically, socially, pop-culturally sound and can stomach poking fun at yourself, then INDICINELIVE! wants you.
We’re looking for a strong acting ensemble of various backgrounds, shapes, sizes and accents, as well as a core design/management team who will backbone the show. INDICINELIVE! IV will run for 10 performances at The Actors Studio @ Lot 10 from June 7th – 17th, before playing 4 performances at the Performing Arts Centre of Penang (penangpac) June 21st – 24th 2012.
Period of engagement? 3+ months. The entire team collaborates weekends (Saturday noons/evenings, Sunday evening/nights) beginning mid-March and kicks off rehearsals mid-April (Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights; Saturday noons/evenings) till the opening of the show. While stage management observes similar dates, the design team only attends rehearsals as necessary. Past experience in sketch comedy will gain you gold stars, but not a prerequisite. INDICINELIVE! currently functions on a profit-sharing basis.

For the audition, please prepare:
*ONE contemporary, comedic monologue of 1 minute, presented in FOUR contrasting styles/approaches (so that’s 4 minutes in total). Permutations may include different accents, physicality, targets and/or overall character choices – we’d like an insight to your range as a comic actor; and
*ONE song, a cappella, accompanied by movement, of 45 – 60 seconds.
