SHORT+SWEET MALAYSIA 2010 Musical \| Dance \| Theatre CALL FOR ENTRIES NOW OPEN! After two years, most people will instantly recognise SHORT+SWEET because of its quirky 10-minute concept. First we had 10-minute plays…then 10-minute dance. Now in its third year, SHORT+SWEET Malaysia will see the addition of SHORT+SWEET Musical to its ever-growing family! Have you been hoarding your scripts at home? Got a dance idea you would like to try out? Or a musical piece you’re just dying for people to hear? Sign up now and grab the chance to be part of an international festival and competition – you’ll stand a chance to win fantastic prizes & goodies! For first timers, a quick rundown on SHORT+SWEET… A 10-minute festival AND competition Open to Malaysians AND non-Malaysians (international entries welcomed) Open to any genre e.g. your dance piece can be hip hop, zapin, ballet etc Open to any languages, not just English! Entry for all on voluntary basis You can take part in more than one festival Whether you are newbie or a veteran, the SHORT+SWEET experience is truly unique… it’s fun, you meet a whole host of people and you get drawn into this crazy (but good crazy) SHORT+SWEET madness. S+S Musical 22 Sept - 3 Oct 2010 S+S Dance 6 Oct - 17 Oct 2010 S+S Theatre 20 Oct - 31 Oct 2010 SIGN UP NOW! We’re looking for… S+S Musical Composer & S+S Musical Lyricist Composer & Lyricist may or may not be the same person Musical scores & librettos must be no more than 10 minutes in length All music must be scored on manuscript Written in any language / topic / genre Musical scores & librettos must be submitted together with S+S Malaysia 2010 Registration Form (separate forms for Composer & Lyricist) Any reference (name, phone, email) to the Composer &/or Lyricist must be omitted from the musical scores & librettos Only original compositions are allowed for submission (proof may be required). All original submissions must NOT have had any form of a paid public performance in and/or around Malaysia May submit more than one musical score & libretto S+S Musical Director Participants must be able to read musical scores Participants must be aged 16 years old and above at time of registration Open to participants of any level of experience S+S Musical Actor Open to participants of any age group and level of experience S+S Dance Choreographer Choreographies must be 10 minutes or less in length Choreography proposals to consists of description / synopsis, number of dancers, duration of piece Choreography proposals must be submitted together with S+S Malaysia 2010 Registration Form Any reference (name, phone, email) to the Choreographer must be omitted from the proposals Choreographers must be aged 16 years old and above at time of submission Open to participants of any level of experience May submit more than one choreography proposal S+S Dance Dancer Open to participants of any age group and level of experience S+S Theatre Playwright Theatre scripts must be 10 minutes or less in length Written in any language / topic / genre Theatre scripts must be submitted together with S+S Malaysia 2010 Registration Form Any reference (name, phone, email) to the Playwright must be omitted from the scripts Only original compositions are allowed for submission (proof may be required).
