Freelance Technical (sound, lighting & rigging)

klpac’s Technical Department is recruiting new team members on a freelance basis.

Requirements:

  1. Have interest working in a theatre environment (sound, lighting, and rigging)
  2. Friendly, fast learner and creative thinker
  3. Able to work long hours according to production time-tables
  4. Possess own transport
  5. Dedicated, punctual and disciplined
  6. Some experience in technical production is an asset

Resource Centre Executive

Manage the klpac’s Resource Centre with attached snack booth.

Requirements:

  1. Able to work independently, has initiative, a cheerful disposition and people-oriented.
  2. Organised, clean and tidy.
  3. Some retail knowledge is required, but not necessary if you are a fast learner.

Expect to work most nights and weekends. Mondays off. Start mid July. Send your resume to Michele or Oxford.

Front of House/Box Office Executive
Front of House and Box Office are the front line of the arts centre in aim to provide the best customer service experience to the patron from the time they buy the ticket till the time they leave the theatre after the performance.

  1. Able to work independently, has initiative, a cheerful disposition and people-oriented.
  2. Able to assist with ticket selling using a computerised Box Office system.
  3. Answer phone calls and provide information to customer.
  4. No previous experience needed, but must have passion for the arts.
  5. Able to multitask between Box Office and FOH work.
  6. Able to speak fluently in English and Bahasa Malaysia. (Mandarin will be an advantage)
  7. Expect to work most nights and weekends. Work based on roster.
