The number “Twelve” is used in horoscopes, zodiac signs, geometry. It also represents the cosmic order. For Han Fong Dance Ensemble, 2018 is our twelfth anniversary, therefore we named this performance “Dance. An Evolution”.

In “Dance. An Evolution“, there is the sweat of expansion, the persistence of inheritors and the agitation of creatives. It is a Chinese dance feast consisting dancers of three generations in Han Fong Dance Ensemble.

“Seeding”
The farmer works hard to transplant rice seedlings at the paddy field, hoping for a great harvest. For 12 years, Han Fong dancers are like the seedlings, growing under the drops of rain and sunshine bestowed by our predecessors.

“Growing”
The seedlings sprouting from the soil grow under the moist conditions of the sun and the moon. The more rice it contains, the more curved the stem.

In our bare feet, we learn to inherit life under the nourishment of dance. As time goes by, we cherish it even more and share with others to see it flourish and grow.

“Harvest”
Rice Harvest. Taste
Dance Feast. Enjoyment
