klpac requires RM4.4million per year for its operating expenses.

Covid-19 Emergency Relief Fund

URGENT FUNDS NEEDED: klpac & TAS’ losses due to Covid-19 have exceeded RM2 million and its venue has been deprived of audiences for 377 days. It requires a minimum of RM130,000 per month to stay afloat. You can also make a donation of any amount via www.klpac.org/donations.

In the meantime, if you’re able to, please consider making a donation to either The Actors Studio (the mother company set up by Joe & Faridah where most of our resident creative team is attached to) or klpac (the arts centre / venue that The Actors Studio manages where the bulk of the rest of the arts management, technical and building management staff).

Since 2011, KLSP has been collaborating with The Actors Studio, klpac and penangpac to premier our annual Shakespeare offering. Everyone there--from Joe and Faridah, the management and administrators, the tech department, the marketing, the box office to the cleaners and the security--has supported us generously. It's because of them that KLSP is able to grow to become one of the most active theatre companies in the country.

klpac Orchestra is fully supported by klpac and all these while we are looking for a Patron of The Arts to support our operation cost. All orchestra members are volunteers who are passionate in music and dedicate their time into our weekly rehearsal. klpac is one of only a few venues in Malaysia who promote performing arts of all kind and we can't lose this treasure and let it varnish. Support klpac if you can!

We really appreciate your true contribution in developing many talented artists. Thank you for championing and spearheading the arts scene in Malaysia for the longest time.

In times of uncertainties, we can only be stronger if we support each other. klpac holds a special place in our hearts, as a venue for our fully staged operas since 2016. Any form of support will continue to help them sustain the venue, and the arts.

The arts have enriched my life in many ways - joy, imagination, delight, food for thought & action - across the years and I would be devastated to see it die out in here where it is so sorely needed.

klpac has played a key role in my formative years as an aspiring conductor. I debuted with the klpac Orchestra in 2016, and that experience planted a seed of courage and daring imagination for a different life and musical journey: perhaps I could be an orchestra conductor after all. Fast forward to present, I’m grateful to share that I’m able to pursue my postgraduate orchestral conducting studies today.

We love your dear space so much. We hope this helps, please do keep putting out the distress call. Your letter broke our hearts out of complacency. It took us long enough to get off the sidelines and help the Arts directly but from now on, we'll do what we can. Do stay strong, KL needs you ❤

My family and friends will invest on the future of our home in klpac and for the next generation the best we can. Stay strong, healthy, safe and hopeful.

My first encounter with klpac was years ago, but I remember being amazed by the works of the artists at the time that reflected the diverse cultures cultivated by the land. May anyone from any region or any country recollect how much art has meant to people and how it has nourished the community.

The experience and opportunities I had with the klpac Orchestra, and every shows and concerts I went to in klpac, has been an important part of my learning journey as a musician over the years. My friends and I believe that klpac is an integral part of the local arts scene, and we hope that it can continue impacting the lives of Malaysian artists and enthusiasts, both during and beyond this pandemic.

Help keep klpac alive. It's not for the venue, it's for the arts.
