Kabut in the Park 2026

Kabut in the Park is a community-driven, eco-conscious yard sale held at The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (klpac).The event promotes sustainable living through the principles of “Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle,” encouraging the public to extend the lifecycle of items, giving it a chance to be re-loved by another home, while minimising environmental and financial impact.

Founded with the idea by Evangeline Lim for the community, Kabut in the Park is designed primarily for non-retail individuals to declutter responsibly in an accessible, low-cost community setting – with the long-term vision for the event to take place every two to three months at the same venue. Kabut in the Park aims to foster community engagement, sustainable habits, environmental awareness and support for the arts through an accessible and enjoyable public event.

Items for sale include clothing, shoes, books, toys, electronic gadgets, household items, seasonal goods, and other second-hand merchandise. Vendors may also provide selected items free of charge through designated “Free Bins,” reinforcing the event’s spirit of generosity and waste reduction.

Kabut in the Park emphasises low-waste operations: All food and beverage vendors operate on a packaging-free basis, and attendees are encouraged to practise BYOC (Bring Your Own Cups, Cutlery, Containers, Carrier Bags, and Camping Gear). The event promotes responsible consumption, reduced pollution, and climate-conscious lifestyle choices.

In addition to shopping, the event offers a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere where visitors may enjoy the surrounding park grounds, socialise, and participate in informal recreational activities.
