Malaysian indie singer-songwriter Liyana Fizi will mark the vinyl release of her first solo album, Between The Lines, with a special live showcase on 11 January at 8.00pm at Pentas 2, The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (klpac).
Designed as an intimate and immersive experience, the showcase will feature a no-stage setup, with Liyana performing together with her band known as Liyana Fizi Quartet, in a 360-degree configuration surrounded by the audience. This unconventional format removes the physical and emotional distance between artist and listener, inviting audiences to experience the album in its most raw and personal form.
Between The Lines is a reflective and emotionally resonant body of work, capturing Liyana Fizi’s signature lyricism and understated sonic sensibility. The vinyl release underscores the album’s warmth and depth, offering listeners a tactile and timeless way to connect with the music. The showcase will bring these songs to life in a setting that mirrors their intimacy – honest, unguarded, and quietly powerful.
