This workshop explores practical and engaging approaches to leading children’s choirs by integrating vocal technique, effective pedagogy, and artistic development. Guided by the “3S” framework: Sing, Shape, Shine, the session presents a thoughtful approach to nurturing young singers from their first musical foundations to confident artistic expression.

The session introduces ways to build healthy vocal foundations (Sing), refine choral tone, blend, and listening skills (Shape), and nurture confidence, expression, and stage presence (Shine). Through short interactive games and playful exercises, participants will experience how learning can remain effective, focused, and enjoyable. The workshop will also explore how thoughtful repertoire selection can cultivate musical depth and shape the artistic identity of a children’s choir, inspired by the artistic journey of the Saint Angela Choir.

Every great choir begins with a young voice that is encouraged to sing, carefully shaped through learning, and given the confidence to shine. Every rehearsal is an opportunity to inspire not only better singers, but a lifelong love of choral music.
